As-is community service
OpenFilament is provided as-is and as available. Catalog data, starter profiles and community calibrations are not a print-safety guarantee. You remain responsible for validating settings on your own printer and for any print outcomes.
We do not warrant uninterrupted availability, error-free operation or fitness for a particular purpose, to the extent permitted by law. My Spools Cloud is offered in beta.
Accounts and free use
Browsing, search, profile downloads and My Spools Local are free. An account (email and password) is optional for free use and required only if you buy My Spools Cloud so we can attach inventory and recover access.
My Spools Cloud — payment, no renewal, no refunds
Cloud is an optional prepaid digital service: currently €19.99 for 12 months, paid once via Stripe Checkout. There is no automatic renewal and no off-session charge. Access ends when the paid period ends unless you start a new Checkout yourself.
All Cloud purchases are final: no refunds, chargebacks for buyer’s remorse, or partial refunds for unused months. Stripe processes the payment; OpenFilament does not store card numbers.
Cloud only adds synchronisation of spools across devices and server-side stock/backup. It does not unlock extra catalog, profile or RFID/QR features beyond Local.
After Cloud expires — 30 days to export
When your Cloud period ends, we keep your Cloud inventory for 30 more days. During those 30 days you can still export your Cloud data (JSON). Sync and write access after expiry follow the product rules (read-only / export window).
After those 30 days, Cloud inventory may be permanently deleted from our servers. Local My Spools in your browser is unaffected and remains free to use. Payment and security records may be retained longer where required for accounting or fraud prevention.
Contributions
By submitting calibrations you accept the contribution terms shown at submit time and license the contribution for public display under the project’s open terms. Contributor emails stay private.
Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, OpenFilament and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from use of the free tools or beta Cloud service. Mandatory consumer rights that cannot be waived under Dutch or EU law remain unaffected.
